      Hardship Relief: Helping Federal Workers Keep Moving Forward

      Getting past a DUI is hard enough without the unexpected loss of income. We understand that a government shutdown can add uncertainty to an already challenging time.

      That’s why Intoxalock is stepping up to provide a hardship relief program to help federal employees facing layoffs or furloughs keep moving forward confidently with peace of mind.

      Our program delivers temporary financial relief from Intoxalock lease payments and helps you maintain access to your ignition interlock device (IID) services throughout this challenging period.


      Program Benefits

      • Deferred Lease Payments: Eligible customers can pause or defer lease payments for up to 60 days during the federal government shutdown, reducing immediate financial pressure.
      • Flexible Repayment Options: After the shutdown ends, you’ll have the opportunity to set up a flexible repayment plan that works for your budget. Just contact our team by December 15, 2025, to arrange your plan.
      • Personalized, 24/7 Support: Our customer care specialists are available any time to help you enroll or manage your account during this period.


      Who’s Eligible?

      This program is available to all current Intoxalock customers who are federal employees furloughed or laid off due to, and during, the federal government shutdown.

      Verification of federal employment status will be required to qualify.


      What’s Not Covered

      Please note that the hardship program applies only to active lease payments. It does not cover:

      • Calibration, installation, removal, or lockout fees
      • New installations after the start of the federal furlough period
      • Accounts with unresolved past-due balances prior to the shutdown or unreturned devices


      How to Apply

      If you are an existing customer seeking hardship assistance:

      • Email govrelief@intoxalock.com with your request
      • Be sure to include your Intoxalock Customer ID number as well as official documentation of your federal work status.

      We will review your request for eligibility and, if approved, update your account for immediate program benefits.
