Avoiding Service Lockouts with your Ignition Interlock Device

Service Lockouts: Here's What You Need to Know

A lockout on an ignition interlock device occurs when the system prevents the vehicle from starting due to factors like a failed breath test, missed or failed random retests, or tampering. There are two types of lockouts: a temporary lockout, and a service lockout.

If your IID displays a countdown lasting several days, you are in a service lockout. To resolve this, you must log into your Intoxalock MyAccount to reset the device or contact Intoxalock at 877-777-5020 to order a replacement. If the countdown expires and displays "Lock Out Service," the device must be replaced before you can start your vehicle.
