CST Again Named Best Place to Work for Working Parents

Intoxalock’s parent company, Consumer Safety Technology, Inc., has been named one of the Best Places to Work for Working Parents. This is now a repeat honor, as CST received this honor in 2022 as well. The designation is awarded to companies who meet a variety of criteria set by The Best Place for Working Parents (BP4WP), a community of business leaders.

This community has researched and determined the various policies that are helpful to employees and working parents. Companies who put these policies into practice are then given the designation of Best Place to Work for Working Parents.

CST has worked hard to implement a work style that allows all employees flexibility. We offer:

  • Remote work: CST is based in Des Moines, IA and prior to the pandemic, most employees resided in the area and worked together in person at the office. The pandemic shifted our focus and now we have employees throughout Iowa and all over the United States, working remotely. There are a few key roles that require in-person work, but in general employees are encouraged to work remotely.
  • Flexible hours: all employees are empowered to manage their schedule so that it allows them to participate in important life events, like a child’s school recital or a family visit. Employees can also request to use paid time off if needed for any reason. CST understands that sometimes hours will need to ebb and flow in order to provide work/life balance for all.
  • Parental leave: Parents are able to take time off after the birth or adoption of a child, and their leave time is fully respected.
  • Acknowledgement of life events: CST provides gifts to employees for life events like marriage, birth, adoption, and more.

Our policies allow everyone to participate fully at work and to feel confident they can have work/life balance without falling behind or missing out on advancement opportunities at work.

CST has implemented these family friendly policies to benefit all employees, not just parents. All employees are empowered to take time off to care for relatives, pets, and for other important life events not involving children or a spouse. Thanks to our remote first and flexible policies, we have been able to attract and retain top talent.
