Financial Assistance for Ignition Interlock Devices in TN
An interlock assistance fund is available in the state of Tennessee to help cover costs associated with ignition interlock devices to those that qualify as indigent.
If your annual income is 185% or less of the poverty guidelines set by the United States Department of Health and Human Services, you may qualify for financial assistance. The court will determine if you are eligible to receive financial assistance for your ignition interlock installation, monthly lease, maintenance and removal fees. Any lockout fees or damage fees will still be your responsibility to cover in full.
If the court determines that you are eligible, they will provide you with an affidavit of indigency. You must present this document to Intoxalock prior to scheduling your ignition interlock installation. We will have to have a fax copy or PDF copy, NOT a picture, of the Indigent affidavit and the ORDL to qualify.
