Use your voice to help end drunk driving. We are awarding $3,000 to a student who creates a compelling PSA video on why safer roads matter.

About the Scholarship
At Intoxalock, our mission is to keep roads safer for everyone by preventing drunk driving. In support of that mission, we offer this $3,000 scholarship to a student who is currently enrolled, or has been accepted for enrollment, at any accredited two- or four-year U.S. college, university, or trade/vocational program.
Students across all fields of study are encouraged to apply. The award is non-renewable and can be used for tuition, housing, books, or any other education-related expenses.
How to Apply
Complete the following five steps before the February 2027 deadline:
- Confirm eligibility — enrolled or accepted at an accredited U.S. college, university, or trade school.
- Prepare your written responses — personal intro, impact statement, academic info, and how you will use the award.
- Film your PSA video — 60 to 90 seconds, on camera, with clear audio. Use the checklist below as your guide.
- Upload to YouTube — set visibility to "Unlisted" and copy the link before you submit.
- Submit the application form — complete every field before the February 2027 deadline.

How Finalists Are Selected
Selection is based on a combination of internal review scores and public social media voting. After the submission window closes, our internal review team will evaluate all entries against the judging criteria. Finalists will then be featured in a public contest hosted on Intoxalock’s Facebook and Instagram pages, where the community can show their support through likes, shares, and comments. Intoxalock will evaluate overall social engagement alongside internal scores to determine the final winner.
Video Judging Criteria
Submissions will be reviewed and judged based on the following:
- Responsiveness to the prompt — does the video directly address drunk driving prevention?
- Thoughtfulness and originality — is the message unique and clearly the applicant's own?
- Effectiveness of messaging — would the video move someone to think or act differently?
- Second chance message — does it acknowledge how Intoxalock helps offenders regain driving privileges responsibly?
- Explains how the product saves lives — speaks to how ignition interlock technology serves as a measurable safety tool.

Application Guidelines
- Your submission must include your name, address, email, phone number, the school you attend or plan to attend, and the link to your YouTube video. No additional information should be included.
- Use of any copyrighted material without permission or licensing within your submission will result in disqualification.
- By submitting an entry, you give Intoxalock permission to use your name and video on the Intoxalock website and social media channels for press purposes.
- If selected, the winner should be prepared to provide a copy of their transcript or acceptance letter for verification.
- The winner will be contacted via the contact information provided in their application following the close of the submission window.
- Award money will be paid directly to the educational institution for the benefit of the student, unless otherwise noted by the institution.
