This includes all data that is collected by Consumer Safety Technology, referred to as CST from this point on, and any of our online properties.
In order to insure the utmost transparency with how and when we use your data, we continually work to revise and update our data policy. These changes will be effective immediately after they are posted, and will apply to our website as well as all other online properties.
Third Party Use of Data
This Data Policy covers all the data collected or generated by CST and its users while visiting any of CST websites and affiliated websites. Third parties collecting or attempting to collect data from CST sites and affiliated sites are subject to this Data Policy. Data covered under the CST policy includes, but is not limited to, data collected via any advertising unit, cookie, widget, script, pixel tag, or other data collection techniques.
Parties unaffiliated with CST may not use, collect, authorize, assist, or direct other entities or persons in the use or collection any data from a computer or device operated by a user, or any data from a user, obtained while using or visiting CST’s website and affiliated websites without the written permission of CST obtained prior to collection and/or use. Companies currently partnering with CST or affiliated companies of CST may collect data only as agreed to prior with CST.
How do we collect information?
We collect information from you when you register with our website or fill out any of our forms, as well as when you participate in any other site features. Upon filling out a quick start or contact form, we ask for your name, phone number, zip code and email.
What information do we collect?
Depending on which CST web pages and applications including our websites, applications and MyAccount you use, we collect a variety of information from and about you.
- Device identifiers
We collect device-specific information (such as your hardware model, operating system version, unique device identifiers, and mobile network information including phone number.)
- Onsite Search
Our internal site search collects details of how you used our service, such as your search queries, user data on searches performed to access digital properties, as well as the onsite search functionality.
- Location/Geo-coding data
When you use CST services, we may collect and process information about your actual location. We use various technologies to determine location, including IP address, GPS, and other sensors that may, for example, provide CST with information on nearby devices, Wi-Fi access points and cell towers.
- Caller information
We reserve the right to collect and utilize caller information automatically collected at the time of call received across our web and telephone log information. We store and utilize user data such as phone number, calling-party number, forwarding numbers, time and date of calls, duration of calls, SMS routing information and types of calls.
- Server log information
We reserve the right to collect and monitor information vital to enhancing user experience on our web services. Data recorded by our server logs includes and is not limited to device event information such as crashes, system activity, hardware settings, browser type, browser language, the date and time of your request and referral URL paths and cookies that may uniquely identify your browser.
- TrustPilot
CST reserves the right to display your profile name, profile photo, and actions you take on TrustPilot or on third-party applications connected to your TrustPilot Account (such as +1’s, reviews you write and comments you post) in our services, including displaying in ads and other commercial contexts.
Why do we collect your data?
In order to provide the optimal user experience, CST collects data to create a more personalized and simplified user experience. This includes, but is not limited to:

Other Services Connected to CST
Consumer Safety Technology’s Data Policy applies to all of the services offered by CST and its affiliates, as well as services offered on other sites. However, services with their own Data Policy that do not incorporate CST’s are excluded.
Services offered by other individuals or companies do not apply to CST’s Data Policy. This includes items or sites linked to our services. Information practices of companies advertising or displaying our services who may use pixel tags, cookies, and other technologies, are not covered under our Data Policy.
