“Over the weekend my daughter was taking her last Driver’s Ed class. In class they talked about IIDs and why people want them and what they do. She talked about them in more detail because [of my job]. It was wonderful when she said ‘Mom, the kids think you’re kinda cool . It’s cool because they save lives, and we’ve all heard about high school seniors and students killed from DUI and what makes it so cool is that you’re it’s a built in excuse. You would never have to say I'm not drinking because it's not cool or my mom is gonna get mad, you can say I'm not drinking cus my car won’t start.’ It should be easier than that, she said, but it's hard to be a high school student. What you are doing makes a difference and it was cool. So, because we save lives everyday and we are changing the stigma of what it means to have an IID in your car so much so that 14 year olds think it’s kinda cool. That’s why I work here.”
